MCBO organizes international work camps which attract both local
and international volunteers. Every year we organize work camps
in April, May, June, July, August, September, November and December
respectively. Work camps means working together with the community
while enjoying and experiencing the local cultural and interacting
with the local community. During this period, volunteers prepare
their own meals, and live in either with a family or in a school
for three weeks.
Volunteers are able to experience third world development challenges
and also the beauty of the country. Our camps have since been
reviewed, improved and tailored to enable the volunteers enjoy
their experience through the following; The volunteers will
get fascinated by visiting city centre and Nairobi safari walk.
They will also gain knowledge by visiting Kenya National Museum
in preparation of coming into contact with local culture. At the
work camp they will embrace the local culture and get integrated
into it. They will also experience the disparities in life through
the work camp and tour to the coastal water project.
We also offer special work camps which run from 2-8 weeks respectively.
The work camps will still cost 350 euros for the period of 21
days.
The fee caters for airport transfer, meals and accommodation,
drinking water at the project, project transport, part project
materials and administration fee respectively.
