MCBO organizes international work camps which attract both local
and international work camps. Every year we organize work camps
in April, May, June, July, August, September, November and December
respectively. Work camps means working together with the community
while enjoying and experiencing the local cultural and interacting
with the local community. During this period, volunteers prepare
their own meals, and live in either with a family or in a school
for three weeks. Volunteers are able to experience third world
development challenges and also the beauty of the country. Our
camps have since been reviewed, improved and tailored to enable
the volunteers enjoy their experience through the following; Fascination
through visiting the giraffe centre, city tour and local entertainment.
Knowledge will be gained through visiting Kenya national museum
and national achieves. Experience the disparities in life through
the work camp and tour to coastal water project. At the work camp
the volunteers will experience and be part of the local culture.
The work camps will still cost 350 euros for the period of 21
days.
The fee caters for airport transfer, meals and accommodation,
drinking water at the project, project transport, part project
materials and administration fee respectively.
